2017 GoogleFEST has ended

GoogleFEST is a two day professional and personalized learning conference for educators.

August 8 is dedicated to Google workshops and August 9 is a full conference including keynote speaker Kasey Bell!

It is presented by the Michigan Association of Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) and CDW-G.

Searching the internet for relevant content can be a daunting task especially for young learners. Google understands this and has developed an entire unit on search strategies for students, including picking the right search terms, understanding search results, narrowing a search to get the best results, searching for evidence for research tasks, and evaluating credibility of sources. We will explore what this course has to offer and identify strategies that work at various grade levels. This hands-on sleuthing session might be just what you’re looking for!
